Almost all my collages are about something lost and something before, combining with the present. I work through complicated sometimes grieving feelings towards religion, authority, and even my own gender expression. I'm very interested in researching and understanding how women / non men have remained autonomous leaders of change and how they have maintained strength and purity despite so many structures like borders, policing, rigid ideas of gender, colonialism-how all these structures seek to trap us or make us lose our way from something that is more eternal. I'm also interested in how land and remaining resolute in these truths work together.
